Patricia Perry, QKA

President:

Patricia Perry, QKA is a Conversion Specialist for Pension Corporation of America located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Patty has over 17 years of experience in the retirement plan services industry. Patty has been a member of the ABC of Greater Cincinnati since 2004 and served on the board in multiple capacities prior to becoming this year’s President.

Rebekah H. Whitaker, QKA

President Elect:

Rebekah H. Whitaker, QKA serves as General Legal Counsel for Pension Corporation of America located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rebekah has over 24 years of experience in employee benefit plan design, implementation, administration, and compliance. Prior to joining Pension Corporation of America, Rebekah was a partner in the Tennessee AV rated law firm of Grant, Konvalinka & Harrison PC, where she focused her practice on employee benefits and personal tax planning. In Tennessee, she served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and she has served as an adjunct instructor at National College at its Florence, Kentucky location. Rebekah is also a regular speaker at ASPPA Cincinnati Pension Conference. She has previously served as Communications Chair and Secretary for ABCGC prior to becoming this year’s President Elect. Rebekah earned her QKA certification in 2009.

Seth Priestle, QKA

Seth Priestle, QKA is a Compliance Administrator for Pension Corporation of America located in Cincinnati, OH. Seth earned his QKA certification in 2010 and is currently pursuing an MBA from Xavier University.

Urmez K. Hozdar, MBA, QKA is the Vice President for a TPA firm Creative Retirement Systems located in Cincinnati, OH. Urmez has over 12 years of experience in the qualified plans arena and has been an ASPPA member since 2004.

Clare H. Peirce, QKA, is a Senior Account Manager for Pension Corporation of America located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Clare has over 9 years experience in the retirement plans industry. She earned her QKA certification in 2009. Clare has been a member of the ABC of Greater Cincinnati since 2006 and this is her first year serving on the board.

Jayne L. Gaffney, QPA

Vice President of Programming:

Jayne L. Gaffney, QPA, has worked in the qualified retirement plan industry for 20 years. She is Vice President of Sheakley Pension Administration, a Third Party Administrator headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. Jayne earned her QPA certification in 1992.

David Swaney, QPA, QKA

Officer of Programming:

David Swaney, QPA, QKA is currently an Account Manager with The Standard. David has over 20 years of experience in the financial and retirement plan services industry. He has worked in various roles including testing, relationship management, and implementations.
 


Bret Clark

Director:

Bret Clark is an associate attorney in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group at Thompson Hine LLP. He counsels employers on all types of employee benefits issues, and he ensures the compliance, from enactment to termination, of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans with IRS and DOL rules. Bret specializes in correcting qualified and non-qualified plan failures.


Brenda Baker, QKA

Director:

Brenda Baker, QKA, Senior Pension Administrator for Tri-State Plan Administration, Inc. located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Brenda has over five years experience in compliance and administration. Prior to joining TPA Brenda served as a general manager for an electronic distribution business. Brenda is a graduate from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a minor in Business Administration. Brenda earned her American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) QKA credential in the spring of 2010.
